Shadow WNBA Analyst, LaChina Robinson

Rising Media Stars (RMS) will shadow LaChina Robinson at least one Atlanta Dream home game. During that time, they will get to observe the functions of production and on-air talent firsthand from the play by play, analyst, producer, and reporter viewpoint.

Actual on-camera experiences with provided feedback

Rising Media Stars will cover at least three (3) professional sporting events in Atlanta as a reporter. The standups and interviews will be recorded and compiled for a final reel to be presented to each participant at the end of the year.

Attend structure led classroom sessions on various topics related to production/broadcasting

Rising Media Stars are required to attend at least  three (3) classroom sessions at the “We Work” Buckhead location taught by co-founders Kevin Nixon and LaChina Robinson. These sessions will include but are not limited to topics on “How To Cover A Game” and “Master’s Class” sessions with select members of our Board of Directors.

One-on-one mentoring with major influencers in the sports industry

Each Rising Media Star will be granted a minimum of three (3) one-on-one mentoring sessions with a member of our Board of Directors. This guidance will guarantee additional oversight of the progression of each RMS’s individual improvement over the course of the year.

A final edited broadcast reel

At the end of the 1-year program, every Rising Media Star will receive a “reel” of work with samples from their RMS “live events”, as well as any work they have done outside of RMS and want to include in the footage.

All applicants must be 21 years of age or older.
